Punching Your Way to Perfect Abs

Ok ladies, March is creeping up on us and it's only 3 months until we kick off summer. Who does not want great abs in their swimsuit? I know I do.

Well, the solution is boxing. It's a fun and motivating way to increase ab strength and set you up for abs you will love. Boxing also has the cardio capability to burn fat so you can build the muscle that looks so amazing in summer cloths.

Why is boxing such a popular ab workout? In order to get the most strength and speed in your punch you need to use your abs. The better shape your abs are in the more impressive your punch will be. So wether your jabbing, uppercutting or giving a good strong hook, you need to twist. That burns fast fast and produces great toned abs.

A good boxing ab workout that I like to use is to punch in reps. You can start at 10 but then increase it as you feel stronger. I also like to use a timer and do drills by the minute. One of my trainers has me jab slow for 30 seconds then at a fast strong speed for 30 seconds. Depending on your fitness level you can do these drills anywhere from 1 to 10 minutes.

You can even do longer if you dare.. just make sure you feel the burn, not only in your arms but also in your future 6 pack!
